ECDYSIS

Ecdysis is the molting of the cuticula in arthropods and related groups (Ecdysozoa). Since the cuticula of these animals is also the skeletal support it is shed during growth and a new, larger covering is formed. The old, empty exoskeleton is called an exuvia (or "exuvium").
After molting, an arthropod is described as teneral; it is "fresh", pale and soft-bodied. Within one or two hours, the cuticle hardens and darkens following a tanning process similar to that of the tanning of leather. It is during this short phase that the animal grows, Growth of the limbs and other parts normally covered by hard exoskeleton is achieved by transfer of body fluids from soft parts before the new skin hardens. Ecdysis may also enable damaged tissue and missing limbs to be regenerated or substantially re-formed, although this may only be complete over a series of molts,

THESE SERIES OF WORKS BEGAN BY FEELING CHANGE, LOOKING BACK, REVIEWING, THE MANY STAGES, THE MANY LIVES LIVED THAT TOOK ME [US] TO THIS PRESENT MOMENT, THE FIRST PIECES OF THIS EXHIBITION BELONG TO THE SERIES OF 'THE WALL' THE WALL THAT CRACKS OPEN AND LETS US RETURN TO THE GARDEN WITH WORKS FOR THE GARDEN A HOMAGE TO THE PERFECTLY FITTING, FILLING, GIVING, TAKING NATURE ACCOMMODATING TO THE SPACE ALLOWED AND THE HOPE OF BECOMING PART OF ITS HARMONY/FLOW REGAINING FAITH AND INNOCENCE AND THE FEELING OF ARRIVAL EVERYWHERE -> UNDERSTANDING THE NEED, FOR EVERY STEP ALONG THE WAY, THERE ARE NO MISTAKES BUT AWKNOWLEDGING THE NEED TO REEVALUATE AND CHANGE WHAT WE HAVE OUTGROWN SURMOUNTING THE FEAR OF DEATH, OF THE OLD SELF
SURMOUNTING FEAR OF RESPONSIBILITY, RECOGNIZING THE GIFT OF BEING ABLE TO CHOOSE AN ATTITUDE WHICH WOULD BRING ABOUT A FUTURE REALITY .... AS THROUGH THE WORK IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION MY[OUR] REFUSAL OR SHYNESS TO WEAR THE DRESS OF BEAUTY.... THE DRESS OF ACCEPTANCE OF ALL WE CAN BE....... FOR AS NELSON MANDELA SAYS

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves”Who am I to be brialliant, gorgoeus, talented, fabulous?”
Actually who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. AND IN EVERY CREATURE AND FEATURE OF THIS EARTH
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
